Precision Tips with Integrated Heating Element for GOOT RX‑80/RX‑85 Stations
Engineered for GOOT RX‑80 and RX‑85 soldering stations, these RX series tips feature an integrated heating element and thermocouple for rapid heat‑up (typically under 10 seconds) and precise temperature control. Designed for electronics repair, PCB rework, and fine soldering applications, they offer reliable performance and flexibility with length options ranging from 33mm to 45mm.
Material & Construction
Each tip features a C10200 oxygen‑free copper core (oxygen content ≤ 0.001%) with electrical conductivity ≥ 98% and thermal conductivity of approximately 380–400 W/(m·K). Formed by precision automatic CNC machining in a single operation, ensuring accurate dimensions and consistent quality.
The internal heating element design integrates the heater and thermocouple directly into the tip body, enabling faster thermal response and more accurate temperature feedback compared to traditional separate tip‑and‑heater designs.
The 72‑hour multi‑layer alloy electroplating process applies four functional layers:
Iron layer (9 A/dm²): Dense crystalline structure for superior corrosion and wear resistance. Vickers hardness (HV) is controlled within 400–550 – above 600 may cause brittleness, below 350 results in insufficient wear resistance.
Nickel layer (4 A/dm², 6 μm): Prevents rust and protects the copper base.
Hard chromium layer (16 A/dm²): Prevents solder creep and maximises oxidation resistance.
Tin layer (12 μm): Pre‑applied to the front working end for immediate wettability.
Performance & Compatibility
Long Service Life: Delivers 20,000–35,000 solder joints under standard conditions (350–400°C, proper maintenance). Actual lifespan depends on temperature, flux activity, solder alloy, and handling technique.
Cost‑Effective: Offers 35–50% savings compared to genuine GOOT RX tips, with consistent quality across all batches.
Flexible Length Options: Available from approx. 33mm to 45mm – shorter tips offer finer control, longer tips provide extended reach past tall components.
Applications
Suitable for consumer electronics repair, PCB rework, prototyping, technical training, and fine soldering of small components. Supports both lead‑free (SAC305) and leaded soldering processes
Maintenance & Replacement
To extend tip life:
Clean with a damp sponge or brass wire ball during use.
Apply a solder "tin cap" before powering off.
Use recommended temperatures: 350°C ± 10°C for lead‑free, 320°C ± 10°C for leaded solder.
Never use files or abrasives – these damage the plating.
Replace immediately if you observe:
Pits or holes on the working surface
Solder creeping up the barrel
Significant loss of heating efficiency
Permanent blackening that rejects solder

What materials and construction are used in these RX-80HRT soldering tips?
We use high-purity copper cores with an internal heating element (nichrome alloy and ceramic thermocouple). The exterior receives multi-layer plating: iron (wear resistance), nickel (corrosion protection), and chrome (oxidation and tin creep prevention).
Do you offer custom RX-80HRT tip shapes, lengths, or plating specifications?
Yes. As a custom soldering tip manufacturer, we can modify tip geometry (chisel, conical, bent, knife, hoof), total length (within or outside the 33-45mm range), or adjust plating thickness for aggressive flux or high-temperature applications. Provide a drawing, original sample, or intended application – our engineering team will advise. Custom orders require minimum quantity – contact our sales team.
What length options are available? Which GOOT tools are compatible?
Length options range from 33mm to 45mm – specify your preferred length when ordering. Our RX-80HRT series soldering tip is compatible with GOOT soldering repair tools that accept original RX-80HRT cartridges, including the GOOT RX-80 and RX-80HTS models. Confirm your tool’s compatibility before ordering – contact us for verification.
How does quality and service life compare to original GOOT RX-80HRT tips?
Under identical repair conditions (330-380°C, intermittent use with proper maintenance), our internal heat tips deliver comparable quality and service life – typically 10,000 to 18,000 solder joints depending on tip shape, solder alloy, and flux chemistry. The internal heating element provides fast recovery. We recommend a side-by-side trial on your repair bench to verify performance.
How should we maintain these internal heat tips for maximum life?
Keep the tip tinned when the iron is idle – use the tool’s sleep or auto-off function if available
Clean with brass wire or a damp sponge – avoid abrasive files or tip cleaners
The internal heating element does not require special maintenance, but avoid mechanical shock to the tip
Replace immediately if the tip becomes pitted, deformed, or cannot wet properly
Store unused tips in a dry, anti-static container to prevent oxidation
For repair centers with high daily usage, schedule weekly tip inspections
