Product Description – C470 Series Heavy-Duty Soldering Tips for JBC Stations
High-Power Tips for JBC HDE/HD Series & T470 Handpieces
Engineered for JBC HDE‑2UD, HDE‑2E, HDE‑1, HD, and HDCT soldering stations, these C470 series tips are fully compatible with the T470 handpiece. Designed for heavy‑duty industrial applications, they deliver exceptional thermal performance for large ground pads, high‑power terminals, and metal shielding.
Material & Construction
Each tip features a C1020 oxygen‑free copper core (copper content ≥ 99.95%) with electrical conductivity ≥ 98.5% and thermal conductivity of approximately 390–400 W/(m·K). Manufactured using precision deep‑hole drilling, the inner wall achieves a surface roughness of ≤ Ra0.8, ensuring an optimal fit with the heating element for maximum heat transfer efficiency.
The heating element assembly utilises aluminium nitride ceramic for ultra‑fast thermal conduction, with a FeCrAl alloy heating wire offering superior resistance to deformation at high temperatures. A built‑in high‑precision K‑type thermocouple ensures extremely short thermal lag (approx. 0.3 seconds) for instant temperature response.
The 144‑hour nano‑composite electroplating process applies four functional layers:
Iron layer (18 A/dm²): Dense crystalline structure for superior corrosion and wear resistance; thickness approx. 350–450 μm
Nickel layer (10 μm): Prevents rust and protects the copper base
Hard chromium layer (15 A/dm²): Maximises oxidation resistance and prevents solder creep
Tin layer (12 μm): Pre‑applied to the working end for immediate wettability
Performance & Compatibility
Long Service Life: Delivers 20,000–48,000 solder joints under standard conditions (350–400°C, proper maintenance). Actual lifespan depends on temperature, flux, and solder alloy.
Cost‑Effective: Offers 30–50% savings compared to genuine JBC C470 tips, with consistent quality across all batches.
Precision Fit: Total length approx. 123 mm – ensures secure contact with T470 handpieces.
Applications
Ideal for:
Large ground pads and heat‑sink tabs
High‑power wire harness and terminal soldering
Metal housing grounding and shielding can soldering
Desoldering / removal of heavy components
Maintenance & Replacement
To extend tip life:
Clean with a damp sponge or brass wire ball during use.
Apply a solder "tin cap" before powering off.
Use recommended temperatures: 350°C ± 10°C for lead‑free, 320°C ± 10°C for leaded solder.
Never use files or abrasives – these damage the plating.
Replace immediately if you observe:
Pits or holes on the working surface
Solder creeping up the barrel
Significant loss of heating efficiency
Permanent blackening that rejects solder

Use Scenarios
Precision Assembly in Electronics Manufacturing
In electronics manufacturing environments, where precision and repeatability are paramount, the C470 tips play a critical role in PCB assembly and component soldering operations. Integrated within temperature controlled soldering irons, they provide stable thermal performance required to meet stringent joint quality standards. Their corrosion resistance and thermal consistency contribute to reduced maintenance cycles and fewer quality deviations. These tips seamlessly fit into existing soldering workflows, enabling production technicians to deliver consistent results aligned with rigorous industry specifications.
Maintenance and Repair Operations in Industrial Settings
Within industrial maintenance and repair contexts, such as electronic equipment servicing centers, the C470 Series tips support fast and reliable rework activities. Their compatibility with professional soldering irons allows technicians to execute diverse repair tasks efficiently, ensuring consistent heating performance critical for sensitive components. The durable construction reduces tool replacement frequency, optimizing operational uptime. Integration with widely used electric soldering iron models ensures these tips meet the demands of repair workflows requiring rapid heat-up and precise temperature control.
Are the C470 series soldering tips compatible with all JBC soldering station models?
Our C470 series soldering tips are designed specifically for JBC soldering stations. However, compatibility depends on the particular model you have. We recommend confirming your professional soldering iron station model before purchase to ensure optimal fit and performance in your operations.
What materials are used in the C470 series tips to ensure durability?
We manufacture the C470 tips using a stainless steel casing, nickel plating for corrosion resistance, and electroplated ferroalloys to stabilize thermal performance. This combination provides durable protection and consistent heat transfer needed in industrial electric soldering iron applications.
Can Lingruixin customize soldering tips for specific industrial processes?
Yes, we offer extensive customization options including tip geometry, material composition, and thermal characteristics. Custom designs help you achieve higher precision and efficiency with your soldering irons tailored to your production requirements and workflow demands.
What are the best maintenance practices for long-term use of C470 nickel-plated tips?
To maximize lifespan, install tips properly on compatible JBC stations and regularly clean them to prevent residue buildup. Although the nickel plating resists corrosion, routine inspection and cleaning maintain thermal consistency and reduce downtime in your soldering iron operations.
