Description

Product Description – C115 Series Micro-Soldering Tips for JBC NT115

Ultra-Fine Tips for JBC NT115 & T115-A Handpiece

Engineered for the JBC NT115 soldering station and T115‑A handpiece, these C115 series tips are designed for ultra‑fine soldering applications. With an integrated heating element and thermocouple, they deliver rapid heat‑up (under 5 seconds to 350°C) and precise temperature recovery, making them ideal for micro‑soldering and SMT rework where precision and access are critical.

Material & Construction

Each tip features a C1100 oxygen‑free copper core (copper content ≥ 99.95%) with electrical conductivity ≥ 98.5% and thermal conductivity of approximately 390–400 W/(m·K). Manufactured using precision deep‑hole drilling, the inner wall achieves a surface roughness of ≤ Ra0.8, ensuring an optimal fit with the heating element for maximum heat transfer efficiency.

The heating element assembly utilises aluminium nitride ceramic for ultra‑fast thermal conduction, with a FeCrAl alloy heating wire offering superior resistance to deformation at high temperatures. A built‑in high‑precision K‑type thermocouple ensures extremely short thermal lag (approx. 0.3 seconds) for instant temperature response.

The 108‑hour nano‑composite electroplating process applies four functional layers:

Iron layer (18 A/dm²): Dense crystalline structure for superior corrosion and wear resistance; thickness approx. 250–350 μm

Nickel layer (10 μm): Prevents rust and protects the copper base

Hard chromium layer (15 A/dm²): Maximises oxidation resistance and prevents solder creep

Tin layer (12 μm): Pre‑applied to the working end for immediate wettability

Performance & Compatibility

Long Service Life: Delivers 20,000–35,000 solder joints under standard conditions (330–360°C, proper maintenance). Actual lifespan depends on temperature, flux, and solder alloy.

Cost‑Effective: Offers 30–50% savings compared to genuine JBC C115 cartridges, with consistent quality across all batches.

Precision Fit: Total length approx. 50 mm – ideal for accessing tight spaces between tall components.

Applications

Ideal for:

Ultra‑miniature passive components (01005, 0201, 0402)

High‑density IC pins and FPC connectors

Smartwatch / wearable device / hearing aid repair

Mobile phone motherboard wire repair and trace restoration

Maintenance & Replacement

To extend tip life:

Clean with a damp sponge or brass wire ball during use.

Apply a solder "tin cap" before powering off.

Use recommended temperatures: 350°C ± 10°C for lead‑free, 320°C ± 10°C for leaded solder.

Never use files or abrasives – these damage the plating.

Replace immediately if you observe:

Pits or holes on the working surface

Solder creeping up the barrel

Significant loss of heating efficiency

Permanent blackening that rejects solder

FAQ

What materials are used in these C115 series precision soldering tips?
We use oxygen-free copper cores with electroplated iron (wear resistance), nickel (corrosion protection), and chromium (anti-tin creep). The internal heater uses high-purity nichrome wire and a sealed ceramic thermocouple for accurate temperature feedback.

Do you offer custom C115 tip shapes or lengths?
Yes. As a custom soldering tip manufacturer, we can modify tip geometry (chisel, conical, bent, knife, hoof), diameter, or total length. Provide a drawing or original sample. Custom orders require minimum quantity – contact our sales team for specifications.

Will these tips fit my JBC station?
Yes. Our C115 series precision soldering tip is compatible with JBC stations that accept standard C115 cartridges, including the JBC Nano series (e.g., NT115, NP115 handles). The 50mm length and internal heater design match original C115 specifications.

How does service life compare to original JBC C115 tips?
Under identical soldering conditions (350°C, continuous use on lead-free solder), our tips deliver comparable or longer life – typically 10,000 to 20,000 solder joints depending on tip shape and maintenance. We recommend a side-by-side trial on your production line to verify performance.

How should we maintain these tips for maximum life?

Keep the tip tinned when the iron is idle (use station sleep mode if available)

Clean with brass wire or a damp sponge – avoid abrasive files or tip cleaners

Use only compatible solders and fluxes (no aggressive halide fluxes)

Replace immediately if the tip becomes pitted, deformed, or cannot wet properly

Store unused tips in a dry, anti-static environment to prevent oxidation

We supply detailed maintenance guides with bulk orders. For automated soldering lines, schedule regular tip cleaning cycles.
